Q5 alignment question/help please
Greetings, I'm new to this forum and have a question regarding an alignment issue I'm having with my 2015 Q5/2.0T Premium +. I have the 19inch OEM wheels and the tires seem to be feathering on the outer edge of the front wheels. I had Michelin Latitude tires installed 10,000 miles ago at a local Firestone center with lifetime alignment. I rotate them every 5K and twice I took my Q5 to address the feathering on the front wheels. Each time the specs were exactly where they are supposed to be. I can supply the exact specs if needed. My question is, is this a usual Audi issue or could there be something going on with my front end. I'm not a hard driver and my original times lasted 25,000 miles. The same thing happened to my original tires. I purchased my Q5 with the 18 inch set up (Continentals), and at 25,000 miles I bought new OEM 19 inch Audi wheels and wrapped them with Michelin Latitudes. I welcome any advice offered.......

I can't believe I have no replies. I thought really thought someone would weigh in. Is this an Audi tech forum or a chat room for "Beer please for your VagCom" !! Pretty sad if you ask me, I guess I'll go elsewhere..........

I don't notice any feathering on my 2.0T Q5 (2011).
What tire spec did you get for your 19" OEM wheels? 235/55/R19? I have given up on using the Audi forums for instant support. I end up usually having to dig through archives or analyze old A4 information and hope it translates into the Q5 issues I run into. |
