Default Quick help - 2007 Audi Q7 won't start, ESP fault, key stuck

April 12, '15: This morning had my wife's 2007 Audi Q7 with 75k miles towed to dealer with these issues:

- ESP Fault light on for a month
- Check engine light on for a week
- Just had a oil flushed and changed
- Car stalled yesterday while driving 50 mph. Restarted to get me home and then won't restart.
- Won't start under jump. It turns but won't fire. It seems to have the power.
- To boot, now the key won't come out of the ignition (I screwed with it but can't get it out)
- All lights work except fog lights.

Dealer wants $1800 for a new "gear box" and battery. I don't feel good about this fixing the issue. Need to make a call in the next day or so.

Any suggestions or things I can ask?

Thanks!!!!

Marc

What are the cel codes for? You have a nice list of issues, but nothing else.

Thx. The "ESP Fault" light was on and the engine diagram was on. No codes that I saw. It was on solid for several days. No flashing or intermittent lighting. Am I missing something?
