new radio fitted today not working just says SAFE on screen got the code but wont let me put it in anyone got any suggestions would be most appreciated

Its possible the radio is locked. Two things to try if this is the case. Remove the fues for the radio and reinstall. Leave the radio and ingnition key on for two hours. Not engine running just key on. If neither of those work i would suggest faulty buttons on the radio.
