Recently purchased a 2000 A6 fitted with a Bose radio system. FM band seems to work fine, however, the AM band emits anly static. No vivible antenna. Where is the antenna located. Suggestion?

amplifier is in the D pillar driver rear where most of the audio stuff is

 

The anteanna is located in the rear glass. However as mentioned above you have an issue with the amplifyer for the antenna and not the actual antenna itself.
