I have a friend that bought a used 97 Audi Quattro and the radio "stereo" is stuck on safe mode. I understand that the original owner had the code or something to get it off safe mode. Is there a way that the second owner can get it to work. The so-called dealer said the radio was broke but how could an old lady "previous owner " break it!! Please help us, thanks

Whoever told you that over at the dealer is an idiot. The radio isn't broken, you just need to get the code from the original owner. If she can't remember the dealer (maybe talk to another one or maybe just a different person) should be able to help you out. But knowing them they are gonna charge you for the code to unlock it. .......... BASTARDS!!
