Rattle in Steering Wheel

My car has a suttle rattle in the steering wheel when I do over 50mph. The wheels were just replaced which did have a flatspot which I thought was causing it but apparently not. The car had an alignment and the new wheels were balanced. They checked the driveshafts and bearings and everything was in spec. What could it be? I was told maybe tie rod ends. This only happens at speeds going over 50 not in the rpm range so it can't be the driveshafts. Any ideas?

RE: Rattle in Steering Wheel

The dealership has a greaseing kit for the intermediate steering shaft to fix this annoying rattle. If you are still under warranty it is covered, and if not the Audi part is about $15-20 and the labor is about 20 minutes (even though you'll get shafted for a full hour labor expense probably.)

Hope this helps.
