Relay for Stereo in 90 / Coupe?
The Stereo went dead in my 1990 Coupe Q. The fuse in the fuse panel appears to be good, and the other things on that fuse circuit work fine.
What led me to think it was the stereo itself was that not only did the stereo not work (switched power source), but the lights (powered separately) were out as well.
Put in a new stereo - and I didn't check the power first. Should have, I know, but was so convinced it was the stereo that I blew past that step. New stereo has no power. Duh.....
I'm wondering if there's a relay somewhere that might be blown out. The factory stereo has the amp under the back seat.I haven't been back there yet, but I can't find any reference to a fuse in the back anyway. In looking over the fuse panel and relay notes, it doesn't indicatea stereo-specific relay, but it seems odd that both power sources are dead and nothing else in the car shows any electrical trouble.
Any suggestions would be very welcome.
