does anybody know if there is a way to reset the check engine light without taking the car to the dealership? I worked on a brand new S6 and now the light is on. I know some cars can be reset by disconnecting the battery, but I don't think that would be a good idea on this car. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

you need a diagnostic tool no other way round it, removing the battery helps some times then you need the radio code so if its not your car your in difficulty

 

perhaps you could tell how the CEL came on in the first place??
