I.m looking to tackle the cam seals on my 1999 a6 avant quattro wagon.I need some help with what tools I need, books, videos, web pages.Heck, I need someone standing over ,me just about.....I read some where about the pcv valve over pressureing and blowing out the seals.Should I change it out?I would hate to do all that work and have the seals blowout.Who has the best kit.I have read about ECs tuning,Blauparts. Then how about the water pump, TB, in order to do them do I have to remove the front end?Help I just bought the car.......The owner is getting me the repair records.

I'm sorry the motor is 2.8 30v.I was reading the service records, and the last owner had the tb done at 88,000 in 4/21/05.No records showing cam seals. The car how has 144,000.I have 1 record of a purge valve being done.Is that the same as the pcv?She loved the car and drove it alot.60,000 miles in 3 years.
