Hey all something completely random happened today. Yesterday i noticed my gas gauge was dropping rather fast. And then today my needle just plummeted to empty .. thought it was a vapor issue but it has nothing to do with how much rpms the engine is reeving and all my lines are free and clear and no pressure build up at the cap.

So a bit later i noticed that the gas gauge would spasmodically jump while i'm driving and ONLY when my trany is engaged and moving the car. I did a bit of looking and most of what i can find points to a speed o sensor in my trany .. am i on the right track here or does the (98 A4 2.8L Quattra 30v) Engine have this built onto the trany?
