Start and Stall/CEL
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. I've owned a 2012 Audi A3 TDI for a little over a year with no issues. It's my wifes daily driver. So I decided to take a chance and pick up a second. I got a killer deal on a 2012 Audi A3 2.0t. The only problem is that it was involved in a front end collision with a deer. The auction house said it ran and drove prior to me bidding...but after winning the auction I found that it in fact would not stay running at all...as is....blah blah.
ANYWAY. When I attempt to start it, it will fire up. RPMs will flare to around 2500 and then settle at around 1000 and then die. The codes I'm getting are P0238, P0506 and P0234. For diagnostic purposes, I have patched a hole in the radiator and intercooler. There is a giant hole in the airbox, but it's below the filter. I don't see any other air leaks besides the one I patched on the intercooler. It really sounds like there is a leak somewhere, but no idea where. Do you all think I'm missing something? Thanks ~Drew

P0234 and 238 are Turbo Boost errors. Since it's throwing the "too much boost" code, check to see if any sensors wires for the turbo system have been pinched or shorted out.
