Default Starting a Turbo

Hello All,

I just purchased a 2003 A4 and this is the first turbo I have owned. One thing that I have noticed is that I need to either pump the gas pedal once or keep my foot on the gas for the car to start. Is this common for turbo engines? My former carb fed cars would start without any 'priming'.

Thank you very much for your responses,

Daniel

Thats not normal at all. Has nothing to do with the engine being turbo.

You shouldn't ever have to do that on a Fuel Injected car.... unless it's FUBAR [:@][]

Sounds like some one needs a new fuel filter.
