Default Still Throwing the code

2000 Audi A6 4.2 Q

Ya I went to autozone and had my car scanned its throwing P1340 which is camshaft position sensor from what I see I replace it with a new one i did the one in the front left of the motor and rear right of the motor I also did new plugs and all coils all around I left 2 coils untouched which are original i believe car has 128k the 2 coils are i 2 on the right side of the motor now my car is running like **** i couldn't get it to start this morning then it fired up later in the day but ran like **** my issue is why am i still getting the code for a sensor when its brand new what other things do i need to look at i will replace the remaining 2 coils this coming week so everything will be new any thoughts?

can it be throwing that code because of 2 extremely old coils and everything else is new? why wouldn't it show as a bad coil on a scan if that was the case instead of a sensor

Car also needs an oil change dont know if that has anything to do with it

just want to know if there is anything else i should look into before putting more $ into it

If it's showing cam positioning problem, you may have a cam chain tensioner issue allowing the cam to go out of phase.
