Strange wheel problem
Hey guys I bought an A3 (53plate) over 6 months ago and has always been ok, it does however have a high pitched noise from the front offside wheel which was diagnosed last week as dirt within the brake system causing the pad to touch slightly but was told not to worry about it (although the wheel does get very hot). Anyway this week steering wheel started to wobble at 60+ mph and so i assumed balancing issue. However this morning at the garage the mechanic told me "servo and brake master cyclinder problem" do you think this sounds correct as the wheel cannot move when jacked off the ground. He quoted 600+ and I was wondering if i can still drive if this is the problem??

Sounds like you live in salt and snow belt. Right side calipers typically freeze up.
Only other solution is to remove that wheel and place a small caster under the car. That way you can drive with the regular three wheels and the caster.
Braking, steering, handling, etc won't be quite the same, but....
