Default Strangest sound coming from rear passenger tire (seemingly). Please help!

Hey Everyone,

This is my first post here. I can't seem to find anything exactly like what I'm experiencing on any of the other threads on the site and really hoping someone might be able to help out. Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to give me.

First off, my car is a '99 A4 2.8l Manual with just under 130,000 miles on it.

I'm getting the strangest sound that I'm 95% sure is coming from the right rear of the vehicle. It's almost like a constant tapping, flapping, clicking sound or something. It gets faster as I accelerate and is definitely dependent on wheel speed, not engine RPM's. I've jacked up that side of the car (rear passenger) and I basically have no play in the wheel which leads me to believe it isn't the wheel bearing. I also checked out the boots on the CV axle and they appear fine. I recently replaced the rear brake pads and rotors (maybe 1000 miles ago) but just started hearing this sound this morning. I even removed the wheel, brake caliper, and pads on that side this afternoon, just to make sure there wasn't something lodged in there and that all appears to be fine as well.

I recorded a video that I'll attempt to include with the post, although it may be a bit hard to tell exactly what the sound is, as it is much more pronounced in person and my phone didn't do a great job capturing it. Video should be ready shortly.

Please let me know if you have any ideas. I'm usually pretty mechanically inclined and do a fair amount of work on my car, but I'm stumped about this at the moment.

Thanks!
