Suspension Problem
I have a 96 a4 and I think my suspension may be going bad. I searched the forums but no one seems to be having this problem. Every time I hit a bump or small pot hole my car will jerk to the left or right. I think it just may be that my suspension is 10 years old... Does anyone know what this could be?
Thanks |
RE: Suspension Problem
nevermind.. i figured it out. if a car does this it is because there is a difference in the ride hight on any of the four corners of your car. My passenger front axle is bad.. I think thats the problem.
Thanks anyways |

RE: Suspension Problem
A bad axle joint shouldnt cause the car to pull when you hit a bump. There is an alighnment adjustment called raised toe on the audis. It is supposed to help reduce bump steer(vehcile pull when hitting bumps). You may want to get an alignment and make sure this is performed. Youll probably have to do this at a dealer as most alignment shops wont have the equipment or knowledge to perform that task. It could also be something with the tires. Try swapping the tires from front to rear.
