Default tunning

hi i need help i have a 4 b5 1.8 quattro turbo its a 99 year . first can i get it remaped or do i have to get it chiped .also i have fitted a fmic + cat rep pipe and a k&n panel filter but the car seems a lot slower .any help will be much apprecitated .

Has the car already been chipped? Did you just throw in an FMIC and a K&N filter and hope to get more horsepower, because you won't see any gains by doing that, you have to raise the boost, increase the timing etc.

no the car is not chiped it also has a cat replacement pipe that was one of the questions i asked can i chip it or or remap it and just wanted to know if any one else had done similar and what where the results thanks for ya time

Well you can get a basic chip which would give you around a 40 HP gain, maybe 45 Hp with the test pipe you have installed. You could get a tune like the PC-16 or hammer file from GIAC thats made to use with an FMIC which would get your around a 60 HP gain, but thats designed for a K04 turbo, not the K03. I would go with just the regular chip.
Your chipping options are, APR, GIAC, MTM, Neuspeed, and there are a couple other cheap ones that i don't recommend.
