Default VAG Codes

Ok Before i start, i bought this VAG-COM thing and it seems to work a charm - BUT - it appears the software is ONLY shareware and i need to register it. When i want to scan it gives me hell about registering. So what now? Is there anything useful about it when it is shareware?

Another question, i did a test on the alarm (Immobilizer) system as it appears not to be activating. Everything seems to check out ok. But where do i see if it is activated? Also, when i try to check settings i need to register. So i guess this is somewhat short of useless?

I got a code from the engine - how do i read it so i know what needs to be sorted out:Saturday, 10 May 2008, 16:41:37

Default RE: VAG Codes

With the shareware version I was able to re-program my tiptronic so it won't shift into 2nd without me telling it to.
You can also clear a CEL.
