Vag com
#5
I passed on the deal. Bootleged cd. You never know what could be on it. Any idea on a general use obd2 tester that can be used on an Audi and also be used on other cars as well. Vag coms base unit is 249.00 not bad but I would like something that could work on others as well.

I have a regular OBD reader that I got at Advance Auto a couple of years ago. I think it was about $200. Actron I think. It does a pretty good job of helping me trouble shoot my 03 A8L. Although I'd love to get a VAG-COM setup soon. If I add another newer Audi to the stable (looking to get a 2003-04 Allroad soon), I'll be getting one. Fortunately the'ol 87 5000S Q I've had since 1998 doesn't require such elaborate equipment.
