Check engine light on? If so, pull those codes and I bet we can figure it out. A worn camshaft won't really cause a vibration. The damned thing just won't run right at all.

Believe me, I had this problem few days ago and I write from my own experience, i solve that with new camshaft. Camshaft is worn and because of that hydro lifter get hurt and when one hidro lifter break trough than you have those vibrations because i think that then valves doesn't work as they should (open, close).

Pull the codes first. Cams are not cheap.
