Vibration at idle--2008 A4 2.0T quattro

Hello,

I recently bought a used 2008 A4 2.0T quattro, and I noticed there is a fair amount of vibration when the car is in gear--mostly at idle RPM. When I accelerate it goes away and then returns again when I am at idle. (It does not vibrate when the tranny is in neutral)

Is this normal for this car? I would say the severity of the vibration is 3/10--not excessive--but definitely noticeable. It subsides a bit when the engine warms-up a bit.

I know that 4-cyinder engines do tend to vibrate a bit. Is this normal or a problem I should get checked out?

It seems like engine vibration, but is possibly caused by the driveshaft? I checked the oil, and it is at a good level. The car has 35,000 miles...

It is an automatic, btw...

Where do you feel the Vibe most?

If it's in the break pedal - engine mount bad
when you increase rpm it torques the engine to the side and doesn't vibrate the frame.

If its in the wheel could be a vac leak

I have the exact same thing. Auto transmission idling while in drive ( at a light) is pretty shaky. I think it's normal, I've read many complaints about it here, but it does seem like it shouldn't be this way in an audi. In neutral it's fine, and also when you're moving, but holding the brake pedal stopped, it's just a bit too rough.

Possibly the throw out bearing might have damaged. Try replacing the tranny fluid to see if it helps.

When I first go my A6 you could mix drinks on the dash.

after a good servicing, fluids, filters, Plugs, coil packs etc...

it diminished about 15%

I replaced the vacuum lines and that helped about 30%

Replacing the Engine mounts 40%
That was a bad vibe through the break peddle rattled my knees, Not pleasant.
You can check that by having a look under your car if your engine mounts have what appears to be dried blood on the bottom they are bad
The engine mounts are filled with died hydraulic fluid if the fluid leaks out you'll get a vibration.

The rest I live with

The shake a little but a lot is not normal

Automatics don't have throwout bearings

Cost

So what would you estimate on cost to get the vacuum lines replaced on an '08 a4?
