When I make a fast and sharp right turn, everything is fine. But when I make a fast sharp left turn, it sounds like the mechanical fan is hitting something. I have checked to make sure everything is clear and it all looks good. Curious if anyone else has had this wierd problem.

 

Check the CV boots on the right side

 

I am sure that its not the cv boots. I have checked them recently and they are good. I bought this car for $600 and put an engine in and I now drive it, but when I turn to the left at a fast rate, I can hear the fan scraping something. I have also seen the scrape marks on the fan blade. I suppose I will just have to dig in and find this problem even if it takes a few hours.

LOL!! Thats right. The timing belt went out on the owner I purchased it from, whom was the original owner. I bought it for $600, found an engine for $350 and blammo! I love it!! Yep, thats my car in the picture just after I got it running and washed.

I suspect you already checked for loos hoses etc... under the hood.
Could the fan housing itself be loose?
