Question Where does this sensor plug into??

I have a 1999 Audi A4 1.8T AWD Automatic trans. I have a sensor that is hanging from the bottom part of my drivers side. Can anyone tell me where this goes? Thanks

It appears to be the ambient temp sensor. Should be a tab with a round hole in it behind the lower center grille, kind of towards the driver's side. It will "plug in" parallel to the condensor.

Cant seem to find it. Is there a pict or diagram you could post that would show exactly where it goes? Do I need to remove anything to see it? Thanks

Another guy in th shop drives a '99 A4 and looked at his to be sure. Guess the brackets more in the center of the car, behind the center lower grille. There's a plastic bracket that secures the p.s. cooler lines (the big loop of tubing in front of the condenser), that has the round hole for the sensor. It may be missing as these are commonly found broken off. You can either order up a new bracket (shouldn't be too $$$$) or, what I've seen done a few times, is tie strap it to the cooler tubes or something else behind the grille.

You should be able to see it through the lower grille. For access you have to go from under the car or pop the grille out.
