05 S4 MT Sedan, Exhaust options

Hey everyone, 3rd post. I am sure this has been discussed before so sorry for any repeats.

I am looking for a better sounding exhaust not power, although power is a nice add on. I cannot get to loud because I drive clients around.

So here are the options.

1. Used FI cat back resonated with 8k miles for $500
2. Magnaflow mufflers only. Amazon has them for $147 a piece.
3. What other muffler options do I have, borla, stebro?

Does anyone have experience with the magnaflow exhaust? I think it is one of the universal fitment mufflers. Do I have to cut the current exhaust to fit?

Thanks for any help

I'm thinking of doing a borla catback and running a test pipe. But thats more for performance. I've heard them in videos and they sound amazing. I'm a big fan of borla but the magnaflow i've heard sounds great on the v6.

I'd say look up different setups on youtube.

I have been all over youtube... The magnaflow sounded a bit loud, but most videos have crappy sound.

Do you know anything about the 4.2 exhaust? I am looking for somethign subtle with a nice rumble.. I do like the sound of Borla, but I dont think they have anything that will fit the B6 S4... am I wrong? How can I tell what to get?

For example Borla has a s muffler with 2.5 diameter, How do I know it will not rub the bumper, or stick out and look stupid? Is that all in how I mount? Do I get center offset, center, center, dual inlet, etc.
