1998 Cabriolet muffler "hangers"
 

One of the rubber "hangers" on my muffler became disengaged and now the muffler is hanging by only one. I have no idea how this happened, as nothing appears to be broken and the hanger seems intact.

How is it reattached? I've tried several times, but I have failed.
