2000 A4 1.8t tiptronic

Hi i Have a 2000 A4 1.8t with tiptronic transmition. i am hoping to make this car the best it can be. but i want to start upgrading it right away. What is the order for the upgrades i should buy? should i start with an APR chip and a boral exhaust? Try and get at least ten items in the order i should purchase and install them.

Thanks

whats up noob.

Read the stickies on upgrades. Also, would be helpful to know your power goals (limited by the auto trans), budget, DIY knowledge...

I have no budget and my dad owns a reppair shop and has been workin on audis for over 30 years so the DIY knowledge shouldn't be a problem i would like around 300hp and after that some good handling.

read the big turbo sticky at the top of the a4/b5 section. ALso, try using the search function, this topic has been covered extensively. I can provide some links if you cant find what your looking for.

You prob want to go with a Garret Elim turbo setup with supporting mods (fuel, tuning, exhaust etc.) and sport suspension. Some forum members sell kits at decent cost. Will probably be about $5-6k total.

Have you finished reading the big turbo sticky?

Well, I suggest that if you don't have budget yet, better save first so you can acquire better performing audi parts for your upgrades. Don't be in a hurry cause you just might spent more in repairing cheaply acquired but low quality parts and instead, end up downgrading your car.
