What engine do you have and how far are you planning on going with the mods? If you have a 2.8 then the only real benefits to an intake are the sound and the fact that you don't have to buy another air filter. If you have a 2.7T and plan on a Stage 3 build, then yeah it'll help you when you get to that point.

I have the 2.7T and so far I just ordered a Billy Boat cat back exhaust and im thinking about getting an APR chip. I also want to do an intake but Ive heard mixed things. Some people say a short ram intake will help but Ive also heard that I should keep it stock and an intake could even take away horsepower.

see if i'm going to do an exhaust, it'd have to be turbo back.

I did a de-cat and muffler on a car back in aus, and that was nice. But when i went from the 1.5" dump to a 3" mandrel dump, that change was HUGE. (like 20HP huge, and full boost 1500rpm earlier!)

i think it's about $700 more though :S
