So i took out the resonater and put in its place a glasspack. It sounds really awesome, really deep and NOTHING like a stupid Honda Civic. If I had a video camera, i would make a video of it and post it. The whole exhaust itself is a Flowmaster 40 series muffler, and a glass pack for the resonater. Its not too loud at freeway speeds, but revving thru the gears is pretty amazing.

Let me take that back. The car is too freaking loud. Since its an Avant, all that deep exhaust sound just rattles thru the whole car. Now i need to find a resonater to put back in place of the glasspack. Maybe its cool for a teenager or a single guy with no family.

I've taken the res out on my 1.8T. I have the Magnaflow with up turn tips. I was gonna have the factory res replaced with a straight threw res, but my exhaust guy said that just a straight pipe in it place wouldn't be that nasty sounding. It has a really nice tone to it, I like it alot.

on my previously owned b5 a4, i had the magnaflow 14815 muffler and straight piping all the way back from the cats. *This was wayy too loud for me* The highway sounds at 5k rpm were ridiculous. I then proceded to put an aftermarket magnaflow resonator in and i wouldnt do anything differently. the highway drone was reduced a bunch but in the city 2 and 3rd gear pulls sound amazing
