I know this is almost a month old, but I thought I'd try to help out. I was looking for an exhaust too and from what i've learned, the best route would be to go custom. Pick out some mufflers(magnaflow mufflers sound amazing on a4's in my opinion) and take your a4 to a local exhaust shop and have them make you a custom 2.5"-3" exhaust with a straight pipe. In result, you spend about $100 for the muffler, and about $200 for the exhaust work. This compared to a full exhaust system like apr, neuspeed or even magnaflow saves you about $700-$800 bucks. But if you only want name brand, heres some sound clips:

This is custom and sounds sick!
