best option for downpipes
Hey guys I just took my car to a local exhaust shop and had them install 2.5" exhaust from just after the second cat back... I'm most likely will be gutting the cats closest to the turbos but before I did wanted to see if I had any other options... could I have custom bent pipe from the back of the turbos with no cats and still remain check engine light free?

You can get a tune that "deletes the Cat". In reality it would be the front O2 sensor. There are spacers you can buy or make for the front O2 sensor that has been known to prevent CELs.

the second sensor after the cat reads the cat function, the downpipes are most important for quick turbo spool, as stated a program or antifouler can keep light off, that exhaust shop pipe prolly crush bent mild steel will rust quickly, 304 stainless is FOREVER

What model/year is your Audi? We off high flow downpipes for several models. All of our exhaust systems are made of T304SS and come with a lifetime warranty. Let me know and I'll send you some more info over. You can also email me at info@eurocustoms.us
