Default holes

Ive heard about drilling some 1/4 inch holes to get the sound but then you are sucking in hot air right off the exhaust manifolds. I am kinda having the same problem just for the fact that i really dont want a cone filter because they look like crap. I agree with poor replies on posts, ive had a question on exhaust that no one has replied on for probably 2 or 3 weeks. I guess your best bet to get info on here is to find someone with the same car as you and pm them your question... Thats what i started doing.

Take care, Matt.

He is right about drilling holes into the airbox and that will give you that whoosh wound but it will sacrifice a little performance but nothing major. Drill 1/4" holes into the side of the box away from the exhaust manifold and put real fine wire mesh over the holes so that you don't suck up any rocks or debris.

Sounds like you want a BOV, but I dont recommend it. Also consider your exhaust, it's sound can be made quieter if you want to focus on intake effect.

not sure about how many holes to drill into it but there is a DIY on this site that you should search through so that you do it right

Hey guys, I'm new here, but I've been lurking in the shadows for a while. I'm also looking for a way to get a little more whoosh. Now I don't know if this will work, OR if it will even fit, but how about a couple small holes drilled out with pod filters attached (intended for motorcycles)? Maybe? Plus it might look a little cleaner than just having holes in the side of your airbox.

Also, apologies for being a month and a half late, but check out my join date. Just got the Ultra Sport on Saturday. But, I digress. BACK TO INTAKE!

................Instead of making your airbox into a Gerbil cage with little holes, you may want to consider this! [IMG][/IMG]
