2000 Audi A4 Front Seat Interchange. Will 97, 98, or 99 Fit?
I have a 2000 Audi A4 with leather manual front seats that has the typical tear right in the middle of the seat. Will the 1997 1998 or 1999 seats interchange or will it take some modification? In addition, how hard would it be to hook up the heated seats option? I know the climate control will need to be changed to obtain the heated seat switches but what else is needed? For example, I have a grand Cherokee and all I had to do was run a wire to the bus line and they work.

The manual seats are all interchangeable as far as I know. Some manual seats had heated **** options. Putting in an electric seat would require cutting out that horn thing under the seat. The heated seat function was not an option in my car so I cannot say how easy it would be. All you would need is a viable power source and the switch would control the rest. Where you could tap into, I don't know.

Power to power, or manual to manual, are direct swaps. Adding heated seats requires the dash switches and the subharnesses to run from the seats, under the carpet, and up into the interior of the dash to plug into the main harness. I don't think you need the entire dash harness. There was a DIY on audizine.com or quattroworld.com that a guy wrote up. It looked like a big pain in the ***.
