Ambient Lights Issue.

Hi,

I have a weird problem.

My ambient lights are not working(sunroof switch, light switch, air vent regulators, lighter).
My radio,Center Console, windows switches lights are working but the ones listed above are not.

would someone know what could cause this?

Other Info: They were not working at the begining and then they started to work by themselves and now again they stopped working :S .

Thanks

i would say circuit board has probably come loose. you can get to it by following the instructions on a4mods on how to fix the sunroof. :: a4mods.com :: - The Premiere Audi A4 Modification Guide and Pictures Library Once u get the screws out and the panel out try to push on the black circuit board and see if it snaps. If so that should fix ur problem. Had this happen to me once. The lights would start to flicker every now and then but for the most part stayed off.

Thanks, I'll try that and let you know .. :)

Are u talking about the big Black circuit board or the one inside the sunroof switch?

Its not only the sunroof switch lights that dont work, its also the air Vent regulators lights, cup holder light, headlight switch light, center big light buttons lights, lighter, the 2 small ambient lights that illuminates the below... All of those not working.
Is that black circuit on the sealling the cause of all those? :s

Its pissing me off cause it started working by themselves and now it stopped again.

So i just played with the big black circuit board( took it off & stick it back in). Now my whole interior lights(upper lights) not working.
Sunroof is functional tho, just the lights not working and when i lock the car it wont beep anymore. :(

now have u checked the fuse. Odds are u blew the fuse when u took apart the board and snapped it back in.

Well, i checked the fuse, it doesn't look blown.
waiting for VAG COM to get shipped now .. hope that will help.

Hm, that's weird, I need some suggetions pleasee..

pa4ul 10-18-2011 11:03 AM

Yea i was going to say ur fuse should be blown cuz when u pull that crap out it always seems to happen. now that is truly werid with the other lights. . Ive never seen that before. Did u rescan with ur vagcom? have u ever driven through high water or had alot of rain fall recently while ur car was outside. Only thing i could imagine would be ur central convience module might have gotten water on it or some sort of wiring short in the system though i would have no clue on all those lights being out at the same tiem but in different spots. Ill keep an eye out for a solution.
