Changing color of Interior Panels
Hey guys,
So i have a c5 Audi A6 with tan interior and wood grain trim. I have decided to wrap the interior trim in carbon fiber, but I think it would look a lot better if the surrounding panels weren't tan. I have always wanted to make these black, but was never sure how. If you're confused about what I am talking about I am referring to the tan panels under the dashboard and surrounding the car in, the tan parts in this picture. http://users.skynet.be/fa329618/audi...rieur%20II.jpg Again I'm not sure how to go about this. I don't know what to call the material, it's not plastic and I'm not sure it's vinyl. If I were to paint it, would it be as simple as sanding, priming, then color coating, or is painting this material not even possible. I would look for black trim from another a6 however there are no audis in the junkyards near me, and I had no luck on ebay. Thanks for any advice you can give. |
Auto stores sell a die. You just wipe it on and wipe it off.

Go with SEM Color Coat. Works much better than the Autozone stuff. You need to make sure you haven't used conditioner or other chemicals on them in awhile, or it won't bond. I used it to two-tone my seats and door panels.
