Default Dash Trim from NYC Trims...

Hello! Ya'll gonna laugh at me.

Months ago I bought some subs for my 98 A4 Q 2.8. Having some friends, whom I trusted, that added subs to their cars, I believed that they had knowlege on how to install the system... well anyway, they took my car apart, fried a fuse or two on the radio, and broke the dash trim. I still haven't repaired the damaged trim but I did replace the radio, which Audi charged an arm and a leg. But on eBay! I found NYC Trims, called them up, and found out that they can make me a trim customized to the exact size for about $160 in aluminum. What do ya'll think about the price and/ or the finish for the dash???

Thanks in advance...

Also, would any one happen to know what size speakers come on the car? I know there are 6 total speakers.

Have you tried junk yards? Some specialize in German Imports. They would surely have trim.

$160 sounds like a pretty good price - is it custom (direct measurements taken from your car) or a cookie cutter piece (made from templates)?

i ordered one of those trim kits in aluminum. trust me they are total ****!!!!! theres no f....n way id put that sticker crap on my s4! they dont even fully cover the wood trim. all they are is a laminate sticker.
now im out 50 bucks for the restocking fee. im way pissed about the whole experience. i thought they were actual trim. i sure wish i found this forum before i ordered them.
