Outside Mirror Control Issue
 

Recently purchased a 2001 A6 Quattro, and amongst other small issues, I find that the outside mirror control switch operates "backwards". If I select the right side mirror it operates the left side, and vice-versa. I've removed the switch from the console and cleaned the contacts. There is only one way to install the plug into the switch so does anyone have an answer to this issue?
