Concerns over crankcase replacement before car purchase (08 A4 2.0)
Title says everything.
Whole story: I'm looking to buy a 2008 Audi A4 2.0 "Premium Plus".
Guy (dealer) says the crankcase was replaced because it had "some kind of issue".
The transmission was also replaced because of some gear slippage.
Haven't test driven it yet, he's working on replacing some coolant hosing and the thermostat.
Is there anything I should be worried about? VERY nervous over here.
I've been burned before by VW and BMW, never had an Audi before.
Thanks in advance!

I would get the dealer to give you the history...., if it's an Audi/VW dealer they will have it as they have full records.
I have 2 Audi's and a VW and love the engineering quality, but repairs on the Audi's are expensive, that's why I have done all my own repairs for the last 5 years or so - previously the dealership did the work.
