    Need Professional HELP please. 2011 Audi A3 2.0 TSI Tiptronic Trans, 98k miles. Transmission started to shudder, slip and lunge and even lost reverse trying to put it in garage. Pulled the trans figuring I would buy used low mileage trany from salvage yard. Tranny code MMA. I'm being told 2 different stories about installing used trans. (1) That I will need to flatbed car to audi to have the used trans programmed to my ECU. -- OR -- (2) That I will need to buy a new mechatronics unit from audi ($1000.00) pre programmed to my VIN and install it prior installing used trans. Do you know the real story concerning installing a used trans before I spend $1050.00 for used MMA trans ? Your professional help would be Greatly appreciated !!! Thanks, Denny

    I currently own a 2010 Audi TT 2.0 Quattro Mk2 and am looking for a Strut Brace. I can't find one so i was wondering if you could point me in the right direction as to where to buy one. Thank you!

    Tek, Workin on 04 A6 2.7 BEL engine.Started out as a gasket and seal replacement for the valve covers, chain tensioner gasket,half moon seal,cam seals. Followed directions. Researched job. All proper tools on hand.
    Locked crank @TDC in#1 hole. I went to change the tensioner guides & lost cam timing. Reassembled job, lined up the cams with marks on the caps, turned engine by hand , no interference so I started engine. Got valve noise. Shut it down. Cylinder leak test bad. Have heads out with 3 broken valves. Sent heads to get the bent/broken valves replaced. Starting over I got ??.I was told that should have originally locked crank @TDC#3. IS THIS RIGHT. Cant find this info. It was my decision to lock the crank at #1 TDC. Also the cams were installed w/16 chain links between them while I aligned the cam& caps. Should the chain tensioner be extended when setting up the distance between the cams? Need to get it right this time. The admin says your best. Can U help. Thanx.Collisin Bob

    hi, im john. i just did cts replacement today. unfortunately i came across a new problem which is that i accidentally broke the clip on the cts wiring clip while i was trying to take apart the cts and the wiring. is there any way to replace that part? and if there is how? and what would be the part number for it. the wiring is holding the cts for now really good but i dont know how long it would be able to hold on. tnx in advance and have a nice day.

    Just joind. Seen to ask u questions. Got a 98 Audi A4 quatro 1.8T. Drove perfect fist two days I had it. Started it to leave n misfire outs nowhere. All coils good all plugs good compression good intake gasket good. What is it. I'm gettn pissed. i am a mechanic. This is my first audi i ever touched in ten years. So maken me mad already not good

    Hello, I recently bought a 2001 Audi TT 6 speed 225HP. I bought is knowing both windows didn't work so I was prepared to do some digging into them. Here is what I have got so far; 1) There is power at the motors at the red/green and the black when the key is turned 2) There is no power at either switch (I assume there should be though?) but the switch tests fine with a continuity test. 3) All the fuses and relays are good including the thermal fuse 4) I have pulled the ccm and inspected it and it doesn't seem to have any corrosion or dry solders. I have the wire diagram and saw that several wires ran through here so thought it would be good to check it. 5) I do not know if the motors are good because I don't know how to test them, can they be tested outside the car or anything?

    Also other symptoms I've noticed include, Center dome lights don't work at all. Bulbs and fuses are good and the fuel and temp gauges are erroneous. Figure I mise well list these too incase they correlate.

    Hi, I'm new here. I posted this in the A5 section but I don't know how much traffic it gets. I click unlock on the remote and now it won't unlock the doors but I hear the sound from the passenger side at the trunk like it's working. It had been just the passenger side but now the drivers side does it. I have to use the key to unlock the door. I have to open the passenger side from inside but then the outside handle works till I lock the doors again. I also have 2 of the driving lights LED's out. How hard are those to replace?

    i need your help i have a 02 audi a4 quattro 1.8t awd thing wont turn over just had the speed sensor put in it started then when computer was cleared it wont start or turn over what is wrong

    Hello Audi Tek!
    I have a 2004 Audi A6 2.7t S-Line. I have had the alternator replaced twice within the last month because the battery light keeps coming on in the instrument panel. The car seems to have a rough idle at times then other times it is fine. The battery light comes on intermittently and the voltmeter fluctuates while driving. The battery is new so any idea of what could be going on? Any advice is appreciated.

    Hi my name is Andy. I have a 2006 Audi A4 convertable 2.0T Sline.

    I have had the car for 6 months now. I have been having an intermittent electrical fault which seems to affect multiple systems. I have taken it to a garage twice (not audi admittedly) and both times it has improved but doesn't seem to be fixed.

    The fault causes:

    Electrical hood opening and closing stops half way
    Radio won't turn off when key is removed from ignition except by on off switch on radio
    Back lights on dash and indicator signals on dash stop working
    Fan appears to run constantly and continues for a few seconds after the car is turned off.
    Heating system also becomes unadjustable and the centre console red back lights stay on

    The diagnostics just said it was a communication fault that's all I know.

    The garage have basically said they don't know how to fix it but said they could replace a module for 600 but again they are not sure if this will fix the problem
