Turbo can/did you do the TB on a 2.7 or 1.8??

I'm doing my o2 sensors tuesday, I have a two hour window to do them. I got my 710n dv's too, but they should take about 10 seconds because i allready lubed up the stock ones last weekend! If anyone wants some stock 2.7t DV's for like 10 bucks or maybe even free you can have them.... One is broken, but one could be ok. (they got 64000 miles on them)

I plan on spendingabout $1000 soon for the APR Bi-pipe and new H&R/Bilistein suspension. I'm taking that class over the summer so I should know how to do them myself. I Hope

Lastly this is for anyone who knows, WTH are Resinators and why do you need them. I heard about people running w/out them, but don't know if its a good idea. Can i pass emissons w/out them. And do you know of anywhere that will make me a custom exhaust (cat back) for cheap. I really don't want to spend 1,200 for somthing that sounds good!

also, i am doing it on a 1.8.......the place that did my exhaust did it for 170, but i am going to a new place next week to get my muffler welded on

and a resinator is to keep the exhaust quiet, and no you don't need it.... cat yes, unless you have software to remove the code

Do you think i could do Piggie Pipes (gutted pre-cats on the downpipes of the 2.7t) and have have a shop remove the resinators and get a pretty good sounding system? I dont want it to sould like a ricey civic, but i want that deep tone.

 

no shop will remove cats and replace them with hollow anything

Turbo, Vastperformance.com does Gutted Precats. They relocate the o2 sensor so it does not throw a CEL and will pass emissions. If your intrested in the 2.7t I would deffinatly talk to VAST they focus only on the A6! Eventually it trickles down to the b5 s4...

How much would a cat-back custom exhaust cost. And where would someone do it?

 

vast might be doing it as a turbo back system, with the warning off road use only...... but they are also a "speed/tunner" shop

i got my exhaust done at midas on watson, but will be heading to american muffler to get my muffler welded on, as the guy i delt with at midas is no longer there
