Unhappy

My name is Nikki. I have an 03 A4. I know nothing about car mechnics.... BUT....i am having so many problems with my car that i find myself on this site trying to learn something and making sure that im not being taken advantage of, more than i am online shopping for shoes! I Love my car and my 15 yr old really wants me to pass it to him, but it's become so problematic that I just don't know... I have a lot of questions and getting more frustrated with the problems everyday.

Default A4 1.8 Quattro Advice

I"m looking at my first Audi - 02 A4 QUATTRO 1.8 TURBO. It's just been fully serviced to the max. timing belt and water pump replaced at the Audi dealer. Also new tires and brakes, new steering rack, new clutch, flywheel and throw out bearing. The car has 86,xxx miles and they're asking 10,000. I've been looking for a few weeks and this appears to be the best deal out there. My two concerns are that it's an 02 and that it needed all of that work at once. Any advice from you Audi Pros out there? I love this car!!!

Default 2008 8 l

Just bought our first Audi, a 2008 8 L. Very nice car so far.
I've been through BMW (325 and 538) a Benz (little 190E) Continental, Caddy STS, and now this one.
The caddy was a HP 2005 model with 320HP and HUD, AWD, and was a great car...but started having some issues, new torque converter, then throwing codes, so traded it on the Audi.
VERY quiet ride, and 30 more ponies than the Caddy had, which is good, given almost 1,000lbs increase in weight. Those two things combined make this one of the smoothest and quietest rides I've owned. Drove some Benz 350 AWD and they were awful. Incredibly stiff...no real comfort at all.

It's Dark Cherry, which I love...doesn't have remote start/Advanced Key, or a heated wheel, but other than that, very satisfied with the appointments/fit/finish.

First thing my wife bought was winter mats with the Audi 8 logo on eBay for a great price.

Would like to have had the LED running lights, but this was a great deal, so those will have to wait for the next one

Looking forward to reading about what others have done to customize and get the most out of their 8's.

Lob

Default New to cars

Hey, Siggfreed from California here. Just bought my baby, a 2001 Audi A4 Quattro 2.8L 5 Speed. I've NEVER worked on cars before, and I intend to learn on my new ride. Just bought the repair manual for my specific make/model/year, and am starting to build my tool set. If anyone has any advice on what tools I will need (and in what importance) it would be greatly appreciated. Look forward to talking with all of you soon!
