Default Considering an 05 A4 Cabriolet, any feedback welcome!

Greetings, all.
My wife and I are looking at an 05 A4 Cabriolet, and would like to get some thoughts from the members here. We haven't owned an Audi before, but a friend of mine owned an 04 and liked it a lot.
This is a one owner car, and very well taken care of. The price is very good, and the car is a 2.0T with the CVT transmission. Mileage is right at 50000. We are looking at this car at a dealer that we have bought from before with very good results.
I am pretty handy with cars, but have not owned a foreign car of any type.
Looking for any thoughts regarding things to look for, common issues with the cars, etc, etc.
Oh, one question in particular is, does the 2.0T have a timing belt that requires replacing, or is it a chain?
Thanks in advance!
Paul and Diane.

Hi, I'm DucGirl. I'm from North Carolina but currently live in Oregon. I'm just looking to learn a little bit (I'm decidedly and sadly lacking on knowledge about my car) and meet some new people. I just drove my Audi from NC to Oregon a couple weeks ago and I have to say that it did really well.

Here's my car:

And here's my motorcycle (which is where my name comes from):

Gidday from Downunder. Paul from Auckland, New Zealand. Have been on here before with a different name (perhaps?). Can't remember it, nor find reference to it.

We're currently in possession of some oldies: 1985 80 GTE (1.8 DZ motor) aka 4000 in some parts I think; 1986 90 CC (my son's daily runaround, a 2l 5-pot) and then his (our) project, a 1985 200tq.....in pieces mostly. The primary reason for joiing the forum. I hope you guys can help.

Thought I'd introduce myself after lurking then posting already

Names Jim and I just bought a 1996 A6Q with 130K for $2k. To say I'm stoked is an understatement. I have a couple of probs like lights and switches on this one, so will be asking questions. Other then that, however, this car's in perfect shape with and even better interior.

I have owned and built several cars including rebuilding several engines, though this is my first German one. Any help I can be I will provide.

Laters..
