Hello all,
Proud to be a new member to the Audi family. I purchased the Audi Q5 3.0 Sline. So far so good. Couldn't be happier. I am very much looking forward to learning from this incredible knowledge base. Once I am up to speed I will do my best to contribute. Richard |

About to take delivery of 2013 A4 Prestige
Hi-
In process of purchasing 2013 A4 Prestige model. Car only has 5800 miles and is located four hours away. Drove to pick it up last week but noticed a couple of issues. I'm paying to have it inspected at an Audi dealership near the car's current location. Should get the inspection report tomorrow. Audi service contact mentioned to me that there are four "service updates" he's going to do on the car for me. Audi inspection cost is $110 -- which should give me some peace of mind about possible issues with the car. Hoping to avoid any possible warranty conflicts down the road... Have driven Acuras/Hondas past 20 years. So first experience with the euro luxury scene. Excited about the car, but nervous about possible issues with this car/A4s in general. If there are any issues with this model I should know about, please let me know! Thanks! Brent |

The A4s and A5s are notorious for consuming oil. The dealer told me that after 5,000 miles of driving between oil changes, you'll have to add 1/2 quart of oil every 500 miles until the next oil change. If you have to add oil before the car hits 5,000 miles in that oil change interval, take it to the dealer immediately. Also, I did have to replace the water pump because the technician noticed a leak. Other than the oil consumption, I haven't had any real problems with mine (2011 A5 Prestige). I recommend buying an Audi-Branded Platinum Coverage extended warranty from Fidelity Warranty Services Inc. Since your car has low miles, you can get one that will cover it up to 100,000 miles for under $2,000. That warranty saved my butt when I had to replace my water pump; I only payed the deductible.
