so you read that right...i have a 2001 awm 1.8t motor in my 99 audi 5speed manual....ran like a dream and the only issue was the sounds my turbo was making at random to progressively all the time. we are traveling through onto to colorado from eugene oregon but in a heated discussion i took off hit a big rock in road and busted a hole in oil pan ( this is when i found out about the motor swap lol) anyways a week of pulling oil pan at junk yard resulted in buying one brand new got it running again and then i had to adjust linkage because it was rolling backwards not catching in gears. so adjusted it, and then it wouldnt move till 1500rpms to 2000 rpms and was running extremely rough. so ive tried throttle adaption, ive cleared the codes except for this p1545 and i cant figure it out. now, it wont stay running for longer then 30 seconds and the very instant i touch the gas pedal it dies. wth is up with my car. for a chick im very mechanically inclined but this is absurd the turbo did sound like it blew but ive got it completely off and out to clean it and the turbines in it still move so what do i do next???? yes i have wifi, you tube, obd2 scan tool (linnova3100j) and a chiltons service repair manual but im at a loss and up until the oil pan it ran solid. oh and side note since swapping the oil pan and new filter and new oil ive maybe got it going 3 miles total and the oil is black. mind you im 22 miles from the nearest town and doing the repairs practically road side and by myself. i could really use some advice and help trouble shooting. Im also damn near broke its been a few weeks of being broke down in 100+ degree weather. thanks.

Have you managed to resolve your engine problems? If you haven't, how quickly did you shut the engine down after breaking the pan?

Hi Everybody,
I'm from South Africa and i have a '97 1.8 A4 B5 ADR.
It has more than 500,000km on the clock.

I've checked in quite a bit as a guest, and been helped quite a bit by the existing threads here.
I guess the reason i'm joining, is i have a question that hasn't been answered by anyone yet. :D
Cheers
