Another 1st time Audi owner (95' A6 Quattro Automatic)

I've been shopping around between Nashville (and surrounding areas) and Tampa Florida (and surrounding areas) for nearly a month.

I've been looking for a late 90's early 00's Audi A4 A6s, Volvo S40s, and VW VR6s for a good cash deal.

In this price range, it was VERY hard to fine something that would be as clean and sound as I have kept all my previous cars.

I flew into Tampa Friday and looked at A LOT of cars and finally picked up a gorgeous (MINT) 95' A6 from a pvt seller.

It's Hunter Green (not sure the actual Audi color code) with Tan leather. Flawless interior and exterior. The engine bay looks factory fresh.

Very happy with my purchase and about to take it on a 12 hour drive back to Nashville tomorrow.

Well, just got the car home from St. Pete, Fl. Car did excellent. Avg 23.3mpg over the nearly 800 mile drive. Used the A/C while in Florida and Georgia, then had to switch to high heat once I got into Chattanooga, Tn.

Only issue I had was the Cruise control worked at the beginning of the trip, then turned itself off and I was never able to set it again.

Second concern was the water temp gauge (dummy gauge). Where is that needle supposed to be? Of course there are hash marks and then there are those little dots at the Cold and again towards the Hot side.

The car started out on the first then second small dot on the cold side, then flirted with the hash mark at the 11 o'clock position. By the end of the trip she settled back on that second hash mark and never fluctuated again.

Oil temp stayed steady at 60c and voltage at 12v.
