My convertible top opens and then closes but not always. t times it stops half way and then I manually operate it for a while disconnect batarry and hope it is reset. sometimes it rests and sometimes it does not. I get ten flashes of top symbol on dash when not working.

is this typically indicating something that I can try replacing or is there a bypass available? i am willing to try a new part or sensor just don't know what is likely problem.
