Hi guys im new here and i got a really weird problem with my audi a4 b5 non turbo model.I was changing my rear dome light globes and upon putting the unit back it made a short on the roof,it didnt blow the domelight fuse.But funny thing is that if you remove the domelight fuse it makes no difference as the lights still work with the fuse out and if you put the fuse back and start the car it starts but wont switch off unless you remove the fuse.So i left the fuse out.Now the other part is with the fuse removed the car starts and you put your driving lights on the car wont switch off so with the car running and lights on without touching the key if i switch the lights off the car switches off.I was told it could be a relay but the odd thing is the relays are on the drivers side behind fusebox,and the was smoke coming out the passanger side top left corner of the dash.Note this is the S.A model so driverside is on the right.
