I'm new here and was wondering if I need to make formal complaints anywhere regarding my issue. I have a well maintained 2013 A4 with 54k miles, so just out of warranty. My engine blew randomly, 4th cylinder lost compression. I had a third party extended warranty and so had all my work taken care of through them. It was a failed piston. There were pieces of the piston in my oil pan. Fully covered thankfully. I tried working with Audi at first as I didn't know I had an extended warranty and they failed to help me. Audi of America also hung up on me when I asked for a goodwill repair and they refused to help beyond 25%. I know piston issues can be common with Audi so I just wanted to know if I need to report this issue anywhere and give others a heads up that Audi didn't help me out at all on such an unusual issue.
