Default Buying a audi soon

Hey guys so here's my situation which im sure you can help me out on. Im seeling my truck soon and should get around 10,000 for it so im looking for an audi in the price range, id say 11500 is my top and it has to be AWD.

I've been looking at A4's and S4's and A6's in the 2000- 2004 years and have found alot, the only problem is I keep getting told that the maintenance and repairs on these can be a nightmare? I read a consumer reports of used cars yesterday and baisically all the years I looked at said there was usually major engine problems etc...

Now I drive a Ranger02 and a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2008 which didn't get to great of reviews either but I have never had a problem.

So, give me some info! Do those models in those years have alot of problems? can i replace things and have it be good forever? Timing belt etc.. Should I look at other models? Let me know, thanks!

I've owned 3 audi's now, two a4's (99, 00) and my most recent an 02 s4. I haven't had to do all that much maintanence to them, coil packs on both a4's, on this s4 i just had to get a impulse engine sensor, that was mostly due to lots and lots of rain around here tho. IMO, you just need to take good care of the vehicle, ie do all necessary maintanence (dont be a penny pincher), and treat it well. just my .02
