I have a 2003 Audi A4 Cabriolet, 3.0L and in the dash I have a symbol that is a circle with nothing in it, and solid parenthesis on the outside that looks like this: (O). I have seen this symbol, along with another that is similar having dashed parenthesis on the outside of the circle which I did find the meaning to (brake pads worn), but cannot find this one anywhere!!! Please help!

you were correct. my car was in the shop for something else (not an audi dealership shop) and i told them to check the brakes. they needed replacing like you said. thank you.
