Hello

Hi, My name is Hein and I'm from the Netherlands. I drive an Audi-80 that I bought new in 1989. Car has run about 216.645 miles. Only let me down one time when the distributor burnt. It was a Ducellier.

For the rest the car has been running perfectly.

Just posted a thread about a problem with an A2 owned by a lady friend of mine.

Grtzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..........

Hein

Wow, that's very rare for anybody to stick to his car for so long. I'm not one of those guys although I admire the love that you must have with this car. Can we see some pictures? I'm sure you have taken a great care of it. Back in college days I was driving around in 80 pretty much as well with my buddy from DSRLeasing.

Yes it is. However there is a story behind it. I started a small business back in 1987. In 1989 the Audi was the first "company car". But more for tax reasons. In the Dutch tax system a business car is written of after 4 years.

So every 4 years my annoying accountant told me to buy a new car. Reluctantly I did, but the Audi never has left the building.

Unfortunately I have no pictures en the car is sitting in the garage. However when I'll be able to take a few, I'll mail them.

Kind regards.
